I recently went to a pottery class with two friends at The Monastery and it was wonderful. Our instructor was supportive while also letting us try our hand at the whole thing. He also helped when needed so I was able to make a pot and a bowl. The class was small with six people. The space is very cool and open. It would be a fantastic venue for a team event or workshop.

I’ve been to a couple workshops at the Monastery and have enjoyed both! The people who work and teach here are so kind and supportive. I particularly loved the most recent workshop I went to creating a life journey mandala. It was one of the first times I was able to freely create without thinking or getting in my head too much and loved the blend of guided instruction and freedom to go with the flow. I look forward to going to more events and workshops in the future. Also got to check out the art that’s on display here…so many talented artists!

The Monastery AZ is the place to be! Sundays they have open studio and we got to go create with provided supplies. My bf and I made pictures of each other. Was hilarious. The art in the gallery is empowering, and will rotate out. Second Saturday had so much to offer with live music and even live screen printed shirts! I hope to do a workshop here soon.

I love having access to new artists in my backyard! The Monastery is a community treasure that I hope thrives as downtown Peoria evolves. Kudos to this sweet family building their dream. Art will save us. ❤️
